Unleash relentless, repeatable power with our flagship Level 4 package for Jaguar’s 5.0 Supercharged V8. Built by trained Jaguar technicians and precision-engineered in-house, Overboost & Chill is designed for hard road use and track heat: lower intake temps, consistent performance, and a throttle that responds the way it should. Service, Style & Performance—Wraptor style.

This is for the 2010 onwards Bosch ECU cars with an 8 Speed Gearbox’s only

What you get

  • Crankshaft pulley upgrade with matching belt & tensioner kit
  • Charge-air chiller system that integrates with the vehicle’s A/C to super-cool the intake charge
  • Fuel system calibration for increased demand when required
  • Wraptor Smooth Linear Throttle Kit (eliminates the common post-remap surge on 8-speed cars) — included free with Level 4
  • Custom ECU remap, hand-finished on your vehicle for best performance
  • Open High Flow Air Filters
  • Complimentary Wraptor 700 badges
  • Installed by trained Jaguar technicians with Wraptor’s in-house hardware and calibration expertise.

Expected gains

Target output: ~700 PS (results vary by vehicle condition and baseline).

The key benefit is consistency: the chiller holds intake temps down so power stays there, pull after pull.

Pricing & install time

£4,495 + VAT supplied & installed

Overseas/remote tool option: £4,845 + VAT

Install time: approx. 3.5 days — we book the car for a full week to complete, test, and quality-check the system.

Why Level 4 vs Level 3?

Level 4 takes our proven Level 3 hardware and steps up with a different crank pulley system, reinforced belt path, and that A/C-linked chiller to drive intake temps even lower—unlocking headroom for a consistent ~700 PS tune rather than a “cold-run only” figure.

Driveability: sorted

Many modern 8-speed Jaguars develop an unpredictable surge after tuning. All tuners see it; we fix it. Our Smooth Linear Throttle Kit is included with Level 4, delivering clean, progressive response on road and track. (Sold separately it’s £395 + VAT.)

Good to know

Performance tuning increases load on aged or marginal components. The tune itself won’t “break” a healthy car; lack of maintenance, underlying faults, or improper use can. We recommend:

  • High-quality oil/parts and up-to-date servicing
  • Allow full warm-up before hard driving
  • Cool-down after spirited use (idle/cruise; don’t heat-soak then key-off immediately)
  • For dyno work, arrive with a near-full tank of high-octane fuel.

Gearbox remaps:

So far we have checked out gearbox maps available from various suppliers but seen no justified gains of a gearbox remap.

The idea of a gearbox remap is to;

1) decrease gearshift time, however the 8 speed gearbox is almighty quick already for a torque converter style gearbox.

2) Increase the torque limiters inside the ECU, however we have not found the gearbox to hold back our tuning so far.

3) Increase oil pressure to the solenoids that clamp the integral clutch bands inside the gearbox so there is less slippage allowing to run more power, however the difference is minimal, possibly more worth it on a very high tuned car but definitely not on a lower stage tune.

4) increase the RPM limiter, however this is only useful if you're engine continues to make power higher than your current RPM limiter, it is also more dangerous to rev the engine higher and higher.

Please be wary if other companies try and up sell you a gearbox remap. In some instances we have experienced the cars have worse drivability following a gearbox remap from third parties.

We will continue to play with gearbox mapping and see if we can actually record and demonstrate any significant gains
