Jaguar underbody components can suffer badly from corrosion as they age, particularly steel braces and rear subframes. Catching corrosion early can mean the difference between professionally restoring the original component and having to replace it completely.

At Wraptor, our trained Jaguar technicians remove, inspect and professionally refurbish these components before reinstalling them to the vehicle.

Powder Coating

Shot blasting and powder coating is an excellent way to strip away corrosion, refresh tired components and add years to their usable life.

Once prepared, components are professionally powder coated in your choice of colour.

Keep things factory-inspired with satin black, or add something a little more individual with a bold colour to complement your brake calipers or overall build.

Galvanising

For the ultimate in long-term corrosion protection, we also offer galvanising.

Unlike a surface coating alone, the galvanising process immerses suitable components in molten zinc, allowing protection to reach both the exterior and internal areas of components such as subframes.

The process requires considerably more preparation and work than powder coating, but the result can potentially protect correctly treated components for decades.

Underbody Braces

The Jaguar F-TYPE and XK use steel underbody bracing which is well worth refurbishing before corrosion reaches the point where the original components are no longer salvageable.

Our refurbishment includes:

• Removal of the underbody braces
• Shot blasting and preparation
• Powder coating in your chosen colour
• Reinstallation to the vehicle

For maximum corrosion protection, galvanising can be selected instead.

Typical turnaround: approximately 1 week.

Rear Subframe Refurbishment

Steel rear subframes fitted to a number of Jaguar models including the F-TYPE, XK, XF, XJ and XE can suffer significant corrosion.

Refurbishing the subframe before corrosion becomes structurally serious can dramatically extend its usable life.

Powder Coated Rear Subframe

Includes removal, preparation, shot blasting, powder coating, refitting and 2 new oil-filled subframe bushes.

Galvanised Rear Subframe

For the highest level of long-term protection, the subframe can be galvanised.

This option includes 4 new subframe bushes.

Typical turnaround: approximately 2 weeks.

Wraptor Uprated Galvanised Rear Lower Strut Brace

We can also replace the original rear lower brace with the Wraptor uprated galvanised rear lower strut brace, supplied with new stainless steel fixings.

Brake Caliper Refurbishment

If your Jaguar is already with us for underbody refurbishment, it is the perfect opportunity to refresh the brake calipers at the same time.

Calipers are professionally refurbished and finished in your choice of colour before fresh custom decals are applied for a durable, high-quality finish.

Typical turnaround: approximately 1.5 weeks.

Oversized Rear Caliper Plate

On many Jaguar models, the relatively small factory rear brake caliper can look lost behind larger alloy wheels.

Our oversized rear caliper plate improves the visual appearance of the rear braking setup and gives the caliper a much more substantial appearance through the wheel.

Alloy Wheel Powder Coating

Complete the transformation with a full wheel refurbishment.

A set of four alloy wheels can be professionally prepared and powder coated in your choice of finish.

Set of 4 wheels: £395 + VAT

Typical turnaround: approximately 1 week.

Damaged Wheels

Major kerbing requiring additional metal repair:

£25 + VAT per wheel

Cracked or buckled wheels can potentially be repaired:

£40 + VAT per wheel

Any structural wheel repair is undertaken at the customer’s risk and, where significant previous damage exists, we cannot guarantee that every cosmetic discrepancy can be completely eliminated.

Important Information

All prices include installation where applicable.

Turnaround times are approximate and can vary depending on component condition and workshop workload.

Components are inspected once removed from the vehicle. If corrosion is significantly worse than expected, seized components require cutting away, or replacement parts are required, additional charges may apply.

We will discuss any significant additional work with you before proceeding.

This is preventative maintenance with a purpose: protect the underneath of your Jaguar now rather than waiting until corrosion turns refurbishment into replacement.
