Injector removal, done properly at a set price!

Petrol injectors on JLR 3.0 and 5.0 engines are well known for failing. They are also well known for seizing into the cylinder head.

Many technicians attempt removal using slide hammers or generic “special tools”, but these injectors are weak by design and they very commonly snap. Once snapped, the traditional route is cylinder head removal at significant labour cost just to extract what’s left behind.

At Wraptor, we do it differently.
We’ve developed our own in-house tooling that allows us to extract seized injectors safely and reliably, without cylinder head removal.

Important advice before you touch it

It is considerably easier (and therefore cheaper) to extract an injector before it snaps. If you suspect injector issues, we strongly recommend you do not attempt removal yourself. Let us take on the job first time, the right way.

Our guarantee

We guarantee we can remove seized injectors without cylinder head removal.
If we cannot remove all of the seized injector(s), there will be no charge for the removal service.

Pricing (all prices include VAT)

1) £228 one-off mechanical labour charge (inc. VAT)
Access labour to reach the injectors.

2) £120 per injector removal and replacement fee (inc. VAT)
Extraction and refit per injector required.

3) £168 each for genuine Bosch injectors (inc. VAT)

• V6 engine: 6 injectors total

• V8 engine: 8 injectors total
  You can replace only the failed injector(s), however we recommend installing a complete set where appropriate.

Typical cost examples (including VAT):

• One injector: £228 + £120 + £168 = £516

• Full set V6 (6 injectors): £228 + (£120 x 6) + (£168 x 6) = £1,956

• Full set V8 (8 injectors): £228 + (£120 x 8) + (£168 x 8) = £2,532

Important note about snapped injectors

The pricing above applies to injectors that have NOT already snapped.
If an injector has snapped due to a previous removal attempt, snapped injector recovery is still available, but it is priced separately after inspection as it is typically more complex.
